Our Program
The Audrey Grevious Center partners Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, the state's Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and the Kentucky Educational Collaborative for state Agency Children (KECSAC). Students are taught in a smaller learning environment and receive individualized treatment and counseling from licensed mental health specialist. All students are working to obtain their high school diploma and may do so here or upon return to the regular high school setting.
To be eligible for enrollment, youths must be committed to the DJJ, the Department of Community-Based Services, or be court-ordered to attend and participate at the Audrey Grevious Center. We also allow a small percentage of students to enter voluntarily. Students here receive breakfast and lunch at no charge.
How to help
This program strives to reward students for good grades, attendance, and exemplary behavior. Incentives and rewards are always needed to encourage and motivate our youth. Gift cards and gift certificates for goods or services are especially valued.
